“Shoebox” is a custom designed mini trawler, built on a Nauset 28’ lobster boat hull and is fully equipped for self sufficient, comfortable cruising. Here she sits at anchor in Florida.
We have cruised with her throughout south Florida on both coasts, north and south on the ICW, in Chesapeake Bay, through New Jersey, into New York Harbor, up the Hudson River and through the Erie Barge canal. Another cruise took us through Lake Champlain into the St. Lawrence Seaway to the Ontario Rideau and Trent Canal lock systems, to Georgian Bay, the North Channel, to Michigan, All this without a hitch and in total comfort from an inside steering station.

On two occasions we have towed “Shoebox” from Florida to the northern cruising areas and here she is set up for one of those trips. The ability to trailer her extends the cruising season in both northern and southern climates and allows for the versatility to reach any cruising ground.
